“A Thousand Plateaus” presents uniformly sized landscapes, each split in half, their horizon lines aligning to form a continuous band. Isolated structures speak for landscapes detached from their surroundings, yet connected into a unified meditation on boundary and expanse.
Inspired by my recent geographical migrations, the horizon becomes both metaphor and measure—evoking freedom, democracy, and the openness of “smooth space,” where movement is unbound. Unlike urban grids, it invites approach from any direction, offering guidance without constraint and preserving the viewer’s agency before the boundless distance.
