Recursive Gaze

3D-scanned fabric printed in PLA
2024
This installation explores the obsessive intimacy between creator and digital tool, focusing on the prolonged interaction with 3D modeling software as a form of self-reflection and embodied labor. The work centers on a 3D-printed frame constructed from digital scans of discarded lingerie and fast-fashion clothing, projecting notions of commodified intimacy and ephemeral materiality into the digital realm.

This piece combined video and installation. The video, captured directly from the Rhino 3D interface, features the repetitive act of switching viewpoints, zooming, rendering effect and framing—actions that mimic both sculptural precision and a meditative fixation.
